The ARMTA Recognition Fund has recently been established to augment the prizes offered to participants in the
biennial Alberta Round of the CFMTA National Piano Competition. It is with much appreciation that we recognize
the past and continuing generosity of the Marek Jablonski Endowment and Dorothy Buckley, and the newly
established Thelma Johannes O’Neill Prize donated by ARMTA Edmonton Branch. As we seek to increase the profile of
the event, our goal is to highlight further the wealth of talent and dedication of both students and teachers of ARMTA.
In addition to increasing the prizes offered to first and second place winners, we hope to reward the efforts of as many
of the participants as possible.
We invite donations from individuals, groups and branches. This could be an opportunity to celebrate or thank a
colleague, remember a colleague who has passed away, or recognize anyone for any number of reasons.
A tax deductible receipt for all donations of $20.00 or more will be issued by the Canadian Federation of Music
Teachers’ Associations (CFMTA) Trust Account.
